Fair product gradations without surprises
Part of the transparency of the Quality Mark is clarity about what you are buying. No vague descriptions, but firm guidelines. Our devices are divided into 3 clear cosmetic grades. Internally, however, they are all 100% equivalent, perfectly tested, and equipped with at least 85% battery capacity:
- As good as new: Technically perfect, hardly any traces of previous use.
- Lightly used: Technically perfect, some superficial (hairline) scratches on the casing or screen.
- Visibly used: Technically perfect, clearer traces such as a scratch or a small dent in the aluminum.

Yes, this is one of the most important and unique advantages of the Refurbished Quality Mark. Where many regular second-hand sellers exclude the battery as a 'consumable part', we and Techniek Nederland guarantee that the battery of your device and any accompanying accessories are covered for the full 2 years. This completely eliminates the biggest risk of refurbished tech.
What exactly does the 50+ point check entail?
To be allowed to carry the Refurbished Quality Mark, a simple visual check is prohibited. Every device at leapp is read out using specialized diagnostic software. This tests more than 50 critical hardware and software points. Think of the vibrator motor, microphones, display pixels, charging port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi antennas, and the health cells in the battery. Only when all 50 points are green may the device be sold.
