Power Saving Mode: Extend your battery life with leapp!

energy saving mode
Do you also walk around with an empty iPhone or iPad at the end of the day? Or are you just looking for a way to enjoy your battery longer? Then the Energy Saving Mode can help you! You may be wondering what Low Power Mode is, what its benefits are, and how it affects your iPhone ’s performance . You’re probably also wondering what you can do to maximize your iPhone’s battery life . We can help you answer these questions.

What is it?

Low Power Mode on your iPhone is a feature that helps extend battery life by limiting background activities and adjusting certain settings. When Low Power Mode is enabled, features such as push email and visual effects are reduced, helping to extend battery life. While it may slightly impact your iPhone’s performance by limiting some features, it’s useful to use when your battery is low and you want to extend the life of your iPhone. You may also want to enable this mode if you know you won’t be able to charge your iPhone for a while. Low Power Mode on iPhone and iPad helps extend the life of your charged battery by disabling some non-essential features to save power and help extend battery life. With Energy Saving Mode: 1. You will receive fewer notifications 2. Apps will not be updated in the background 3. Emails will not be automatically retrieved 4. Automatic downloads, such as updates, will be stopped 5. Photos will no longer be automatically uploaded to iCloud 6. The brightness of the screen will be dimmed

Why do you want to use it?

The advantage of Energy Saving Mode is that you can use your battery longer without even noticing it. You hardly notice the measures of the mode and you can use all apps as usual. The Energy Saving Mode can be used well when you want to get the maximum usage time out of your device, because you do not have the time, desire or possibility to charge it. You can also enable the Energy Saving Mode when the battery is almost empty, but you still have to continue using your device. When Energy Saving Mode is enabled, a device uses up to 38% less power, giving it a few extra hours of use!

How do you enable it?

There are three ways you can enable Low Power Mode on iPhone and iPad.
  1. Via Settings: Go to Battery and turn on the switch next to Power Saving Mode
  2. From the Control Center: Swipe down from the top right corner and tap the Battery icon
  3. Via Siri : Ask Siri to turn on Low Power Mode
The active Energy Saving Mode can then be recognized by the yellow Battery icon at the top of the screen. You can always switch this mode on and off. If your battery percentage falls below 20% and 10%, you will receive a notification in which you can easily switch on the Energy Saving Mode. If you have put your device on the charger, the mode will switch itself off when the battery percentage is above 80%.

Energy guzzlers

Would you like to know which apps are the biggest energy guzzlers and are killing your battery? You can! Under the heading Battery in Settings, there is a list of apps that have used the most battery in the past period. You can see that for a period of 24 hours or 10 days. There may also be apps here that you have not opened at all, but that have been active in the background. That can be a reason to delete an app, if you hardly use it anyway.

Optimize battery life

We've also put together a few more steps and tips you can follow to optimize the battery life of your Apple device:

1. Activate the power saving mode: You can do this by going to 'Settings', selecting 'Battery' and then enabling 'Power saving mode'.

2. Optimize your settings: There are several settings you can adjust to extend your battery life. These include lowering your screen brightness, turning off dynamic wallpapers and motion, and limiting background app refreshes.

3. Manage your apps: Some apps use more energy than others. It is a good idea to regularly check which apps use the most energy and remove them or use them less.

4. Update your device: Apple regularly releases updates that improve the performance and energy efficiency of their devices. It is therefore advisable to always keep your device up to date.

5. Use Wi-Fi instead of mobile data: Using Wi-Fi is generally less taxing on your battery than using mobile data.
