Photography with iPhone: Take Better Photos - leapp

taking pictures with iphone

Do you prefer to use your iPhone for taking selfies, holiday photos or food pics? With the iPhone camera you can take great photos! However, it is sometimes nice to know how to capture something best. That is why we have listed a number of tips for you for the best photos. #likeapro

Tip 1: Tap to focus

The iPhone has the 'tap to focus' function in the camera app. By default, the camera focuses on the middle part of the photo, but by tapping on another part of the screen, the focus shifts. This allows you to focus the camera on what you want to capture in detail.

Tip 2: Adjust the exposure to your liking

If you follow tip 1, the camera app will also automatically adjust the exposure. Is your photo too dark or too light? Adjust the exposure yourself! Move the sun up or down with your finger to make the image lighter or darker.

Tip 3: Grid

How many times have you taken a photo of a beautiful building or sunset and it turned out crooked? With the grid function, you can take perfectly straight photos. Use the grid function on your iPhone to take perfectly straight photos:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Photos and Camera
  3. Enable the grid function
  4. Align objects in your photo with this grid. Your photos will look much more professional!

Tip 4: 10 photos per second

Want to capture an epic moment? Use the burst function. It automatically takes 10 photos per second. That way, you can be sure that the right one is among them! How? Super simple: Hold down the camera button.

Tip 5: High Dynamic Range

Take photos with the HDR function! HDR (High Dynamic Range) means that photos with light and dark areas come into their own better. With the HDR function, two or three photos are taken, with different exposure settings each time. These photos are combined into a colorful photo. With these tips you will be #likeapro in no time. Who knows, you may soon be instafamous because of your professional photos! Don't forget to tag your leapp? Have fun taking photos! Did we miss a really good tip?
