30-pin Dock Connector

The first generation of iPhones used a 30-pin dock connector for charging the devices and transferring data.

  • iPhone 4s (2011)

Lightning Connector

Apple introduced the Lightning connector with the iPhone 5. This smaller, reversible connector has been compatible with all iPhones released since then, up to and including the iPhone 13 series.

USB-C Connector

Starting with the iPhone 14 series, Apple is switching to the iPhone USB-C connector, which enables faster iPhone charging and even faster data transfer.
